Help Tony Bowdoin Fight Cancer

The short version of why we're here today is simply to reach out for support of our loved one, Tony Bowdoin, who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. At the time of diagnosis, the cancer had already spread from the colon to both form a tumor on his sacrum and occupy a large majority of his liver. Because of his young age and good health, the oncologists are determined and confident that it will be possible to control the cancer with the correct treatments. Nonetheless, Tony knows (and is currently experiencing) that this is a full blown battle. He has been unable to work for many months, spent two weeks in the hospital, and is now in the midst of a very intensive chemotherapy treatment plan. The family is doing all we can to help acquire the necessary governmental assistance - disability, medicaid, etc. However, we have doubts that even once fully approved, this assistance will not fully cover all of the expenses that are accumulating. In response to the many thoughtful friends that have already reached out to the family asking how to help, we have created this page. Our hope is that this will serve as a platform to humbly accept help and ease the stress placed on Tony and his family throughout this fight. Additionally, it will be a centralized location where we can share Tony's story and post updates throughout his treatment.
