Tony on his last day of radiation!!

Update- Tony is still fighting his fight! Tony is currently doing oral chemotherapy which is easier on him. He has been able to stay out of the hospital since starting the oral chemotherapy which is amazing news however Lisa is now hospitalized. Two months ago when Lisa was at work she fell and injured her knee. She has been since been off She was finally scheduled for surgery on October 15th! After leaving her pre-op appointment she fell in the waiting room and broke her leg in three different places. She had emergency surgery on her leg that same night. She was just transferred to a rehab facility while she heals. Doctors say she will be out of work for 8 months to a year!

Hello my name is Britni a close friend to Tony and Lisa DaGuanno. I’m starting this GoFundMe to help with medical bills and daily expenses as Lisa has needed to take time off work to help take care of Tony.

As you may or may not know, Tony was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in February.

Tony went to his PCP in February with complaints of stomach pains. Expecting to have another hernia, he was sent for a CT scan, which showed a mass on the base of esophagus where it meets the stomach. He was then sent for a PET-scan which showed cancer in his lungs and lymph nodes, as well.

Tony started receiving chemotherapy in March. It has not been an easy journey as Tony has had multiple hospital stays from the affects of chemo. Tony also had to undergo 10 rounds of radiation.

Im Asking for help from Tony and Lisa’s loved ones to help them during this difficult time. Lisa has had to miss plenty of time at work since she has not left Tony’s side as she has spent every day and night with Tony during his hospital stays, every chemo, radiation and doctor appointment. Lisa is currently the only one working as Tony’s health has declined.
