Help Tony and Lauren Through This Tough Time

Hello,

My name is Lauren and my husband Tony was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. He was playing with our boys one night and jumped our fence to get some firewood. After, he developed horrible side pain. I took him to the ER thinking it was a kidney stone, only to find out he had a large tumor on his right kidney. We were sent over to a local trauma center where surgery was decided. Over 3 days, the mass on his kidney was bleeding into itself. It grew to be 25 pounds by the time it was removed. Surgery was touch and go; he lost a lot of blood. But by the grace of God and many prayers, he pulled through. We are awaiting to find out what kind of treatment he will be receiving once he heals. My husband is a police officer and I'm a nurse. With my husband being off work until the foreseeable future and only myself working, we are realizing how hard it's becoming with finances. The medical bills are now starting to come in. I've decided to set up a GoFundMe for our family. Any little bit helps. I also wanted to bring awareness to how fragile life is. One minute you're just living your life, having fun with your family, and the next, cancer is brought up. You never think it's going to happen to you, until it does ❤️
