Help Tony Fight Grade 3 Brain Tumor and Support His Family
In December, our family’s world was turned upside down when my brother-in-law, Tony, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. At the time, doctors reassured us it was nothing to worry about, and we held onto that hope.
However, in May, we learned that Tony’s tumor had grown and needed to be removed as soon as possible. Fear and anxiety consumed us, but we stayed positive, trusting in the surgery ahead. On July 16th, after months of waiting, Tony bravely underwent brain surgery. The operation was successful, and his doctors were optimistic.
But then came news that none of us were prepared for: Tony’s tumor was classified as a grade 3 brain tumor –Devastated isn’t even enough to describe what we felt. Still, Tony’s courage has never wavered and he continues to stay positive throughout this process.
Since surgery, Tony has been recovering and facing expected challenges like double vision, difficulty walking, and speech issues. Yet through it all, he remains determined to fight this battle for his family: his loving wife Adriana (my sister) and their two beautiful children – Giulia (4) and Francesco (2).
Even while dealing with his diagnosis and recovery, Tony constantly worries about providing for his family. His inability to work during treatment has created a heavy financial burden, and we want to do everything we can to lift some of that weight off his shoulders so he can focus on healing.
We are asking, from the bottom of our hearts, for your help. Every bit makes a difference and helps relieve the stress and anxiety during this unimaginable time.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
With gratitude and love,
Fernando & Marcella Salgado
