My son T'Ontae is 18 years old and a senior at Castlemont High School. He will be graduating in May, and I couldn't be prouder of him. T'Ontae has had a true passion for football since he was five years old, and all his hard work has paid off—he's earned a scholarship to play football for Clark Atlanta University. It's a bittersweet moment for our family, as we're excited for his future but also a little nervous about him moving so far from home in Oakland, California to Atlanta.
As a single parent, I want to make sure T'Ontae has everything he needs to succeed in college and not be stressed out about the things that aren't covered by his scholarship or FAFSA. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover important expenses like books, dorm essentials, a laptop, food, and any football equipment that isn't provided by the team. It will also help with plane tickets for both of us when I take him to Atlanta. With a 9-year-old son at home and money sometimes being tight, your support means even more to our family. Ever since he was a kid, T'Ontae has always dreamed of having his own helmet, gloves, and cleats—he loves getting a new pair every year, and I want to help make that possible for him as he starts this new chapter.
Thanks in advance for all the help and support on T'Ontae's journey. This means so much to us. This is literally his dream—he's always wanted to go down south and play for an HBCU. Any little donation helps, and even if you can't donate, please share and keep sharing. We really appreciate it!
