As a dedicated and long time member of BITD, alongside her brother Teddy, and a proud 1979 graduate of Falls Church High School (Go Jags!), Toni has embodied the true spirit of compassion and generosity.

As a devoted resident of Manassas, Virginia, Toni, along with her late husband Elder Tyrone Smith, who sadly passed away due to Covid, has selflessly dedicated her life to empowering young single mothers, visiting the sick, supporting vital community drives, ministering to the incarcerated, and nurturing up-and-coming entrepreneurs, leaving an indelible mark of kindness and love.

Currently, Toni is bravely facing the challenges of ILD Behcets Syndrome and a painful intestinal mass, which her medical team is preparing to treat with the utmost care. As we stand together, united in our love and support for Toni, we are reminded that even in the darkest moments, hope, faith, and the power of community can illuminate the path forward.

Toni's forthcoming surgeries and ongoing treatment will necessitate specialized equipment, and while insurance will cover some expenses, your generous support will help bridge the gap, bringing us closer to our goal of surrounding Toni with the love, care, and resources she needs to thrive.
