Meet Toni — our sweet stray who has been part of our lives and community for many years. She may not “live” inside a home, but she has a home in all of our hearts.

Toni first appeared in our backyard as a tiny, scrappy kitten. She was timid at first, keeping her distance but curiously watching us. Over time, she learned to trust — and before we knew it, feeding her became part of our daily routine. She grew from that little kitten into a strong, independent cat who loves to explore the neighborhood, visiting different spots but always returning home to us. She’s a true free spirit, but she’s also family.

Over the years, Toni has survived the seasons — from hot summers to freezing winters. She’s been there to greet us in the mornings, lounge in the garden on sunny days, and even curl up on the porch when she feels safe. She’s our little backyard guardian, our loyal visitor, and a friend to anyone who takes the time to notice her.

But now, Toni needs our help. She’s getting older, and recently, we noticed her health beginning to decline. She has lost her teeth, and her gums are painfully pushing up from her mouth. Eating is becoming harder for her, and she’s starting to slow down. We fear she’s in discomfort — and we can’t stand the thought of her suffering.

We are trying to get her into the vet right away, but the reality is that proper medical care — especially for dental issues in cats — is costly. She will likely need a full examination, dental surgery, medication, and follow-up visits to make sure she’s healing well. These costs can quickly add up to hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars — more than we can manage alone.

Toni has given so much to us over the years without ever asking for anything in return, except for a meal and a safe place to rest. She’s brought joy to our family and neighbors, and now it’s our turn to be there for her.

We’re asking for the kindness of friends, neighbors, and animal lovers everywhere to help us cover the costs of her care. Every donation — no matter how big or small — will go directly toward her veterinary bills and recovery.
