Hello, My name is Max Guzman. I'm one of Toni's siblings.

 

Let me introduce my Sister Toni (aka Antonia) Medina. She is a wife. A mother of four. A grandmother of five. An aunt. A sister. A daughter. A sister-in-law.

 

She is a wonderful loving person who is literally fighting for her life.

 

She was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer in April of 2021. As you can image this was devastating to her and the entire family. This is the worst and the last thing anyone ever wants to hear about a loved one. To say the least.

 

Toni is fighting this horrible disease as best she can. This has been an emotional roller coaster for everyone. She has been receiving an aggressive treatment of chemotherapy since April. This treatment was put on hold two weeks ago due to a bacterial infection. Another obstacle for her. The good news is that treatment for the infection appears to be helping. She will know more about the progress sometime this week. The goal is to defeat the infection and resume chemotherapy.

 

This fight has been something that I hope we never experience again. This is just a horrible disease. Not only is she fighting for her life but the other aspects of her life can not be ignored. Life doesn't stop. Toni needs our help. Her household is also fighting for their financial stability. They have depleted their rainy day funds. They are down to one income. She has health insurance but it only covers so much. This burden in addition to her cancer battle is taking its toll. Her family is helping as best we can but our help only goes so far.

 

If you can find it in your heart to help someone as wonderful as my Sister it would mean so much. We can not express how much this would mean to her and her caretakers. Her family. All funds received will be used to help them survive financially. Help with medical costs. Her day-to-day survival like food on the table. A roof over their head. Utility bills. I personally will be managing her funds with her husband Juan.

 

The only request she has is if you can please respect her, her husband and children's privacy. She does not have the energy and is not in the proper mindset to accept phone calls, unannounced visits, emails etc. I will provide updates as best I can via this go fund me request.
