I’m not sure where to start.
Toni has been the light of my life for 13 years. My soulmate. My baby girl.
We have started a journey that will likely not be an easy one and I’m asking for help.
Toni’s vet found a mass in her throat after unsuccessfully trying to intubate for a routine dental cleaning. The X-ray they took also found a possible mass on her liver.
We just met with Internal Medicine today at Tufts for more advanced care. The vets were able to feel swelling and presence of the throat mass on their exam. There is a chance it could be a benign mass, it could be cancerous, and it could also swell and obstruct Toni’s throat to the point she will not be able to breathe.
With all of this, the next steps will be to get a CT scan that will look at both the throat and liver as well as ultrasound-guided biopsies. Due to the inability to intubate, there are more complications that will go with sedation and possibly extra intensive care needed.
Once we have more answers and know what the mass is, we will be able to come up with more of a plan based on results and outcomes. This may include surgery, chemo, or radiation.
Anyone who knows me knows I would do anything for Toni, but there is a big financial component. The current estimates, depending on care needed just for Friday’s procedures, range between $3,500 and $9,500. This does not include any treatments or interventions following a diagnosis.
I want the world for Toni, she is the sweetest little girl and has kept me going when I didn’t think I could.
Anything you can donate is so appreciated and will go to getting my baby girl the best care!
If you would like to donate directly, please feel free to reach out.
I also have Venmo where I can accept donations as well.
