Have you met Toni?

Bertha (aka "Toni") Davis is a very talented singer and good friend who we have gotten to know in Kate Baker's adult jazz vocal classes at Jazz House in Montclair. If you've ever had the pleasure of sharing a stage or a rehearsal studio with Toni, you know this woman's vocal talent is undeniable. She will break your heart with her rendition of "God Bless the Child" and give you chills with her powerful performance of "Diamonds are Forever." You also know that Toni consistently lends a voice of support and encouragement to her classmates -- especially the younger ones. As her classmates, we feel it's our turn to show Toni some support.

Unfortunately, Toni's housing situation is precarious at the moment. For several reasons, she has fallen on hard times and may be facing eviction. We don't know if raising money will help her avoid eviction, but what we do know is we want to help. And we hope you'll consider helping as well.
