Hi, my name is Sharon Dew and I am fundraising for my aunt Toni Floyd. My aunt is your typical aunt, just stronger and more beautiful. My aunt Toni is 52 years young, she has two sons whom she adores and grandchildren with personalities to match each day of the week. Very adorable, nonetheless! My aunt is one of the kindest, most gentle loving, souls I know! My aunt Toni is currently fighting the biggest battle of her life and because she is not the type to reach out and ask for help, even in dyer need, I am doing it on her behalf. As if hearing the diagnosis of “you have congestive heart failure” doesn’t knock you off your feet on its own, to go through the constant physical, mental, and emotional roller coaster eventually begins to take a toll on even the strongest souls. In and out of doctors appointments, in and out of hospitals, in and out of emergency room visits, all the medications, the poking, the sleepless days and nights, the pain, and the effort it takes to keep getting up each day and keep going and to get to all of these places and appointments become draining. Toni was scheduled for a procedure last week that would be minor for the average patient however, because of the condition of her heart, it is a high risk procedure for her. Though she was finally able to mentally prepare herself for the procedure, it had to be rescheduled, which has not yet happened. She will now have to prepare mentally again for this procedure and what her future holds. All that she is enduring is no cheap thrill and I am asking that anyone that sees or reads this makes a contribution to set her heart at some sense of ease or peace during this most stressful time in her life.
