My name is Toni Pepia, and I am currently ranked #1 in the United States in the 52kg division of judo.
Judo is an Olympic sport, but in the U.S., even athletes at the very top are largely self-funded. Behind every competition is the reality of paying for flights, hotels, entry fees, training, and recovery — often out of pocket — just for the chance to step on the mat.
Despite these challenges, I continue to compete and push forward.
Recent Competition Results
Two Gold Medals – Texas
Silver Medal – Canada
Two Bronze Medals – South America
Silver Medal – Florida
Each medal represents months of preparation, sacrifice, and commitment — not just physically, but financially. Competing internationally and nationally is essential to staying ranked, gaining experience, and representing the United States, but the costs add up quickly.
I am asking for help so I can continue competing at this level without having to choose between chasing my goals and managing expenses. Funds raised will go directly toward:
Travel to tournaments
Hotels and accommodations
Competition entry fees
Training and preparation tied to events
Any support — whether through a donation or simply sharing this page — truly makes a difference. Your help allows me to stay focused on training, competing, and representing my country on the mat.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting women’s sports, Olympic athletes, and the dedication it takes to keep showing up.
