Help Tommy Kesling's Family During Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
As many of you may have heard, Tommy Kesling has been diagnosed with cancer. Tommy is a 21 year old Glenview native, an Eagle Scout in Troop 55, and a Glenbrook South graduate who attends Columbia College.
Tommy’s cancer is extremely rare: the odds of getting this germ cell cancer are 1 in 10 million. Tommy and his parents, Margie Barrett and Tom Kesling, have to travel and remain in New York for his treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is being treated with high dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplant to treat this germ cell cancer. The treatment will take about 3 months.
The stay in New York is an expensive and difficult one for the family. Tommy must have a caretaker 24 hours a day for the next few months, so Margie and Tom have to travel to and from New York to care for him. While their families are helping them in innumerable ways, the transportation, living, and medical expenses are mounting.
Thank you for your help in supporting the Barrett Kesling family in any way you can. I am sure that all the communities that know them would want to help and support this beautiful family. Please share this with anyone who might be able to help.
