Last Tuesday my uncle, Tommy Gowan, went in for a normal procedure on his esophagus, only to find out he has stage 3 Esophageal cancer. The cancer has spread to his lymph nodes and stomach, requiring him to need immediate surgery, daily radiaton, and chemotherapy treatments. This has been a devastating diagnosis for their family. Due to the severity of his treatments, he will not be able to work and provide. His wife, Judy Gowan, is also currently undergoing treatments for Melanoma that she was diagnosed with this past summer. This family has been through so many trials and heartache recently, but has not lost their faith. I truly believe that the Lord puts people in your path to help in times of despair.
Uncle Tommy would be the last person to ever ask for help, but always the first person to help others. He lives the most selfless life of anyone I know. Now its our turn to pull together and help a family that really needs and deserves our help. Their family has a rough journey ahead of them. Please if you feel it in your heart to donate to help them during this time, I would be forever grateful. If you can not provide a monetary donation, please include them in your prayers and share this with everyone. We know that the Lord performs miracles and we ask that you cover Uncle Tommy and Aunt Judy with prayers.
He is the strongest, kindest, and most faithful person I know and we are not ready to let him go. We are ready to fight this with everything we have.
