Help Tommy get Gene Therapy

Donation protected
Hello!

My name is Carole and I am the very proud owner of a 2.5 year old golden cocker spaniel called Tommy.

Tommy was diagnosed at 6 months old with Haemophilia A severely lacking in factor VIII and Factor IX.

There is a gene therapy trial happening in the US, this therapy was done before on other haemophiliac dogs with a 100% success rate.

As we are based in Ireland the cost of transporting Tommy to the US for treatment is huge. The gene therapy itself is funded by fundraising as ethically it is not possible to self fund it yourself.

Tommy has has numerous joint bleeds, haematomas and any slight bleed can be life threatening to him.

It is emotionally draining on the bad days to see him in so much pain from his bleeds but also financially it is crippling

We want Tommy to be able to be just a normal dog who can play and have fun without the worry of what comes next.

I would really appreciate it if you can donate any amount to help us on this journey.

If Tommy isn't selected for this gene therapy trial then any money raised will go towards his outstanding vet bills and the rest will be donated to the trial to get this therapy for any dogs who are selected.

Thank you!
