My dad, Tommy, is 69 years old and has always been the kind of person who would help others in their time of need, no matter how little he had himself. He’s worked hard his whole life, and even now, as he faces the toughest battle of his life, he continues to inspire us with his strength and resilience.
Recently, my dad was involved in a head-on collision caused by an unlicensed, uninsured driver who ran a red light and hit my dad. The accident totaled his only car—a 2005 Honda that was a hand-me-down from my grandpa. This loss comes at an especially difficult time, as my dad is currently battling end stage renal cell carcinoma that has spread to his lungs and other organs. Because of his illness, he is unable to work and relies on Medicaid for his medical needs. Without a car, he has no way to get to the many appointments that are so critical for his care.
We are raising funds to help buy my dad a used, reliable car so he can continue to get the treatment he needs. Any support you can offer would mean the world to our family. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity during this incredibly hard time. Being able to get him to his appointments would lift a huge weight from our shoulders, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can give.
