This is just an update on Tommy for everyone who has donated, is thinking of donating, or just has been thinking of tommy. He has completed his 7 week treatment of radiation everyday and chemotherapy once a week, it has taken its tole on him but he is very happy to be done with it. The lump on his neck seems to have all but disappeared to the naked eye but he is not out of the woods yet. He will have a PED scan in 3 weeks along with many more tests to make sure there is no more cancer hiding in his body. For now we are thinking of this as a victory and he is going to take the time to try and gain some of the weight back. Thank you to everyone who has helped thus far, either through donations, visiting Tommy or just kind words. Tommy and I will try to keep everyone updated as we get more information.

[original post] Hello my name is Ross Willey I am fundraising for my friend Thomas (Tommyboy) Kasprzyk. You may have seen him performing at the Key West Comedy club, you may have met him bartending or doing jiu jitsu at Bone island mma which is where I first met him. Tommy boy was one of the first of my teammates and coaches who convince me to get into competition and was always one of the loudest yelling for me on the side line. Since then tommy boy and I have competed together many times and even if one of us was not participating they would always be there on the sideline when one of us had a tournament. Right now tommy is in the fight of his life. We all noticed a lump on his neck at practice a little over 6 months ago but after having it checked multiple times he was convinced it was some kind of injury from BJJ. Tommy was actually signed up to compete in a combat jiu jitsu match in January but a couple weeks ago found himself on a helicopter to Mt. Sinai hospital in Miami where he would meet specialists who would help diagnose him. Tommy was eventually told he had been misdiagnosed and that he in fact currently has stage 3 cancer. He will undergo immediate treatment where he will receive radiation everyday over the next 7 weeks he was also be receiving a chemo therapy treatment every week. He will not be able to work, has no insurance and needs help covering the cost of medical bills as well as the cost of living. The helicopter alone cost 25 thousand dollars, the total bill continues piling up but will be able to give updates. If he has ever made you laugh at the comedy club or tapped you out in jiu jitsu or if you are just in the giving spirit Tommy boy really needs our help, please donate! Thank you!
