On August 2nd my brother Tommy, sister-in-law Dani, their 5 month old daughter Zoey, dog Milo and pet tortoise BB lost nearly everything in a fire at their home in Boynton Beach, FL. While the structure of their home is still standing, the fire caused extensive damage, destroying their belongings and leaving the house in need of significant repairs. Most importantly, everyone is safe.

My brother and I are incredibly close and over the last few years we've been fortunate enough to go through some of life's biggest milestones together - from getting engaged to being married, buying our first homes, and even having our first daughters born within a month of each other. My brother once described homeownership and having a family as "the dream". Knowing how hard he and Dani have worked over the years and have humbly saved to provide "the dream" for their growing family made it even more heartbreaking to see their home after the fire.

Tommy and Dani have a long road ahead of them to rebuild their home and have just begun the process of working with insurance to assess what will be covered. We know there will be substantial out of pocket costs and many of our friends and family have asked how they can help. We thank you, and are raising money to help with things like clothes, furniture, and personal items, securing temporary housing and covering repair expenses.
