Hello, my name is Tomas, I’m 29 years old and in August 2021 I was diagnosed with a Stage 3 brain tumor. The general prognosis for my type of tumor is typically not more than 2 years, 5 years if you’re lucky. I underwent brain surgery on August 13, 2021, to remove the tumor, which was a successfully resected, but I nevertheless I underwent 6 weeks of radiotherapy, which is the standard care for this tumor which is called Anaplastic Astrocytoma. The initial 6 weeks are now followed by a further 12 monthly cycles of oral chemotherapy (Temozolomide) intended to provide the best chances of preventing the tumor from coming back.
I would like to raise funds for my eventual recovery (after these 14 months of immune-system-destroying radiation and chemo treatments) to be able to afford additional alternative treatments where the focus is on diet, supplements, eating all organic, somatic experiencing and trauma work as that is where I believe I can really finally heal from the damage and toxicity caused by current treatments as I hope to prevent the tumor from coming back, which if it does, usually comes back in a more aggressive or malignant form and In those cases, general prognosis comes down to just 6 months! Very scary at 29 years old, at any age for that matter.

My journey so far...
With my Mom in Terschelling (Dutch island). By then I already had a speech impediment and hemiparesis on the right side of my body.
MRI results: right side was before surgery, left side is post-surgery
Post surgery scar and stitches
The dexamethason medication made me gain weight and face bloating up
Ready for Radiation
I lost my hair, but I gained a lot of cards wishing me well!
The scar is healing
With my Cousin 4 months post surgery
