Tomas Kerswell was only 13 years old when he tragically passed away from complications of diabetes. He was a former student at Wallsend South Public School and most recently a Year 8 student at Kurri Kurri High School.

Tomas was a fun-loving young man. He was a great friend and always quick with a joke. Tomas was unapologetically himself and had a knack for bringing his friends together for gaming and socialising.

At the heart of Tomas’s world was his family and his dogs. He shared an incredibly strong bond with his twin sister, Emma, and mother, Jo. His absence will be felt deeply every single day.

No family should have to endure the heartbreak of losing a child, especially so suddenly. During this incredibly difficult time, we are coming together to support Tomas’s family as they navigate their grief and the unexpected financial burdens that come with such a loss.

Funds raised will go toward funeral expenses and supporting the family during this time, helping to ease some of the stress so they can focus on healing and remembering Tomas.
