Hi everyone, I am fundraising to help keep my family safe and in our home. I was laid off back in Feb, 2023 due to my position being eliminated. I never suspected that finding a new job was going to be so tough. I worked for the same company for 20 years. A few interviews but keep being rejected. I have worked in the IT industry for 30 years.
I have guardianship of my 10 year old granddaughter. Been raising her since she was 2 and guardianship at age 5. Hannah has also been diagnosed with High Function Autism. Just moved her to a new school and it’s a work in progress. My 2 sons, Tom Jr and Sean, who also live with me both have mental health issues and other issues. Neither have been able to work since Covid.
My unemployment has run out and I am working to get setup as an Uber driver but vehicle may not be viable. Also looking at being a Instacart shopper. I am behind on the mortgage and other bills.
I am behind on the mortgage and I have the house up for sale as “Sale as is”. But with everything, I find myself having a hard time focusing and becoming depressed and constantly worried about money.
To add to the whole crazy situation I find myself in, I also have Fabrys disease. It’s a rare blood disorder that gets progressively worse as I get older. I’ve already loss two brothers to it and it’s a constant worry. I haven’t been on the treatment for the past year.
Any help or assistance would be very much appreciated. Even if it’s just a kind word of support.
