Tom and Veronica Belanger are in need of some financial assistance during a time where medical struggles have hit their family.

Tom has been living with and managing Ulcerative Colitis for a few years now, but has begun to have complications due to a flare up that is not responding to the standard treatments. His troubles began a few months ago in the Fall and became significantly worse by Christmas, and he has had multiple hospital stays, as well as having been out of work for a full month at this point. He has only one last paycheck coming in with the remainder of his paid time off, and then some of his coworkers have generously donated time off of theirs to him. But once those funds end, they will have to begin paying out of pocket to maintain their health insurance until a time when Tom’s medical issues resolve and his strength returns to allow him to return to work. As of this moment, it will be at least another month, but likely much longer.

Veronica is working nonstop to maintain the home, care for their two young children, and being at Tom’s aide around the clock. Any support to this fundraiser will be utilized by them to help with their household bills and health insurance costs until Tom is able to return to work. Pride is a big thing for both of them, and this is something their family wanted to do to help them out since we live over 1500 miles away from them and cannot assist them in their daily needs and we would like to help relieve the large financial stresses coming their way. Tom and Veronica are both outstanding humans who will always be there to help a friend or family member when they need it, and now is their time of need.
