Our dear friend and neighbor, Tom Tillman, has faced an unimaginable series of hardships. Last Friday he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, leaving him with permanent brain damage and in need of 24-hour in-home care.

This tragedy comes after an already incredibly difficult year. In May, Tom was laid off from work and on that same day, was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Since then, he has been unable to look for work as he has been focusing on treatment and recovery, including the removal of his kidney.

Now, with this devastating stroke, the medical and caregiving needs have become overwhelming. He will require continuous care and therapy to ensure safety and comfort. Unfortunately, the costs of care exceed what the family can manage alone.

We are reaching out to friends and family to help raise funds for Tom’s medical expenses and in-home care. Every contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference in helping Maggie and Tom navigate this incredibly challenging time.
