My big brother, Tom Robertson Jr. (Tommy) is in a fight for his life with stage three cancer. He will be going through hard chemo treatments to start, then 1-yr. of immunotherapy chemo. The doctors thought they had gotten all the cancer, but cancer being what it is, it spread. So now he is facing a mighty uphill battle, but he is ready for the fight. Unfortunately, with all he’s been through, facing this challenge has really impacted his ability to maintain responsibilities, as well as medical expenses. Tommy’s a good and proud person but has humbly asked for help. I truly believe our network of family and friends can rise up and help him. The insurance covers 90%, leaving many thousands still to pay. Having to take short-term disability for his condition has dramatically reduced his income. Additionally, he lives 80 miles from the hospital, with gas costing what it is, the constant driving to St. Louis for treatments is just a lot to deal with.
For those who know Tommy, he would help anyone anyway he could if they needed him, now he needs us. He is my only sibling, and I would be lost without him. Along with all the prayers, we would appreciate any financial help that could be given. No amount is too small. It will lift him up and show him that he is a loved friend, son, brother, husband, dad, and grandpa. I will personally be eternally grateful to everyone who donates to help us bring my brother through this. I say it with all I am, CANCER SUCKS! Thank you all for reading my plea. Larry
