Help Tom Pacheco Survive His Ordeal

Hi, my name is Steve Romine, and I have started this fundraiser to help my good friend Tom Pacheco, legendary singer/songwriter, who is currently in dire straights, stuck in a rehab/nursing center.

We want to bring Tom home to be with his wife, Annie, and his dog, Cookie. Tom needs our help to cover those expenses that his healthcare won't cover.

When Tom was able, he did more benefits for people and causes than anyone I know. As a matter of fact, he and Steiner Albrightsen did a song called "Beaches of Rio", which Tom wrote about the horrible plight of homeless children in Rio de Janeiro. Tom and Steiner donated all their profits and Tom's publishing rights to his song, to build a hospital wing for those homeless children.

Tom was not afraid to sing about controversial issues that needed to be heard and he sacrificed material gain to get his important messages in music to the public as anyone who has heard Merchants of Death", "Julian", "Homeland" and many more including "There Was A Time" (featured on this page), will know. Tom's using his incredible songwriting talent to sing truth to power, kept him off mainstream radio, including here in Woodstock, except for progressive Woodstock 104 (104.1 FM WIOF-LP).

Once Covid hit, the music business went sour, and Tom was not able to do any shows or make any money for a couple of years putting him in a serious financial bind. Then to make matters worse he was stricken with sudden collapsing and bladder dysfunction and after several sudden collapses that sent him to multiple hospitals, he ended up in a rehab/nursing facility.

Tom needs our help to get out of a financial bind, limited healthcare coverage and an impaired ability to generate his own income.
