On Saturday May 15th, just 3.5 weeks after giving birth to their second son, Tanya suffered from a fronto-temporal-parietal hemorrhage. In other words, she had a stroke with a massive brain bleed.
After being rushed to the hospital, she needed to be air lifted to another facility for emergency surgery as she was deteriorating rapidly. Thankfully, a week later she is alive and making progress, but she has a very long and uncertain road ahead of her, as does her husband, Tom.
Suddenly thrust into the roll of full time "Mr. Mom" to TJ (4 years) and Bradan (4 .5 weeks), Tom is left struggling to keep the family ship afloat. Juggling childcare, round the clock newborn feedings and working is enough, but add in the constant worry and uncertainty with Tanya's health and the fact that the hospital is nearly an hour away ... yikes!
So please help us to lighten the load so that we can provide some relief during this most difficult time. This campaign is to raise funds to help with childcare and medical expenses as a result of this unfortunate turn of events. Funds will be provided directly to the family to use at their discretion.
