On March 17th, Melissa was diagnosed with breast cancer. While she was telling Tom the diagnosis, she noticed Tom’s eyes and skin were yellowing. Days later, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This is devastating for one spouse and parent, let alone both. Their family is their world, and the love they share will give them the support they need during this time.

Tom and Melissa have both been the most giving, community-oriented people I have ever known. From coaching to volunteer firefighter, PTO, beloved TA, they have always given. Now we have to come together, as a community, and help two of the best people in the world.

This is very hard to accept as proud as they are, but no one can be prepared in your 40s to both have to take months off from work and fight cancer together. They need help to be able to think about healing and health, not mortgage payments and paying their medical insurance out of pocket while out of work. Let’s give them one less thing to have to stress about during this already stressful time. ❤️
