Help Tom Larson With His Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Dear Friends:
Many of you know Tom Larson as a friend, classmate, or colleague. Many of you may not know Tom personally but know of his stellar work in conserving and protecting our environment during his 30+ years of work in the Amazon basin in Ecuador. Tom’s work in preserving and protecting the fragile Amazon rainforest environment also created an opportunity to work with the local Quichua tribe to improve their health and well-being by using sustainable farming and nutrition practices. He has been a great friend to so many, including our environment.
It is now our turn to be a friend to Tom. He has recently learned that he has a serious health issue and needs an aortic heart valve replacement. Moreover, time is of the essence, which means he must rely upon the private healthcare system in Ecuador if he is to receive the care he needs in time. Tom does not have health insurance for the private health care system and will be forced to pay the entire estimated cost of $47,500 to have this medical procedure done. This is where we can help. Every donation is important so please consider donating to Tom’s medical fund. Tom's brother, James Larson, set up a separate bank account for Tom and is listed as the GoFundMe beneficiary. 100% of the money we receive from GoFundMe will be deposited into this separate account and then sent to Tom to help defray his medical costs.
We appreciate your consideration of Tom’s plight and willingness to help.
