My name is Tom Karkut, and I've recently been diagnosed with a severe cataract in my left eye. Bad enough that I'm effectively blind in that eye. Surgery is my only option and, as recommended, time is of the essence as well. Being so thick, the surgery will be costly, and of course, insurance barely covers anything for the surgery itself. Because of a steep astigmatism in the eye, they have recommended a toric lens replacement which, of course, adds to the costs.

My goal is to hopefully recover some of the costs involved as everyone knows money is very tight these days.
