My name is Tom and I am looking to raise $700 to purchase my pericarditis medication and to save for my down payment for pericardium removal surgery. For over two years, I have suffered from chronic pericarditis, which causes me very debilitating pain and makes it extremely difficult to function throughout the day.

On May 13, I meet with a surgeon to set the date for surgery to tear my chest apart and cut my pericardium out, essentially permanently eliminating pericarditis from ever affecting me again. Leading up to this surgery, I need to purchase around two months of pericarditis prevention medication and then have a $400 co-payment on the day of surgery for me to be able to get the surgery. I do not expect to raise all of the money for this here, but I am hoping that I can get close. Again, thank you for taking the time to look at my GoFundMe.
