Help Tom Get a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant

Donation protected
As many of you know, my brother Tom has faced numerous medical challenges over the years, and with each one, he's amazed us with his resilience, strength, and determination to keep moving forward. However, he is now facing his greatest challenge yet—end-stage kidney failure. Unfortunately, this is not a condition that can be treated with medication or lifestyle changes. His only hope is a kidney transplant, and time is critical.

I’m currently undergoing testing in Maine to see if I am a match to donate one of my kidneys to him, but this process is complicated, expensive, and not guaranteed. This is where we need your help. There are two ways you can make a difference:

If you are O-negative blood type, please consider getting tested to see if you could be a match for Tom.
Please consider donating to help cover the costs of this journey and hopefully mine. The medical bills are mounting, and on top of that, we have travel expenses, lost wages, and the ongoing need to care for our families at home.
Tom has such a big heart, and we simply can’t imagine losing him at such a young age. Any contribution—no matter how small—will help give him the gift of life. We’ll be using this page to keep you all updated on our progress, and we truly appreciate your support. Please help spread the word.

If Tom and I are a match and medically cleared, our projected surgery date will be February 18th.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

UPDATE:
Tami will be in Maine on December 9th, 10th, and 11th. All the major tests and bloodwork will be completed during this time. We hope for clear results so we can move to the next phase in this process. We appreciate all the positive vibes!

UPDATE 3/5/25: Hello! Tom is finishing up testing and trying to maintain good health while waiting for his kidney. Tami has 2 really important tests coming up. She is currently needing an MRI to look at a small benign tumor on her own kidney. We are hopeful it is insignificant and will not stand in the way of a successful transplant. However, there is a lot riding on this one test. If you can't donate, how about thinking of getting tested? I can walk you through the process or even educate you on how it has been for me. We have been put on this Earth for a short time, while your here, do something amazing! Get educated, Get tested, donate! Thank you for all your warm wishes and support. Please spread the word! -Tami
