We are reaching out on behalf of Tom Fries—a beloved husband, father, brother, son, dedicated coach, and friend—who is facing a critical health challenge. Tom is in urgent need of a kidney transplant, and with your support, we hope to help him get the life-saving treatment he needs.

For those of you who don’t know Tom, he’s the kind of person who lights up every room with his humor and laughter. Whether he’s cracking jokes or telling stories, he always manages to bring a smile to everyone’s face. Beneath that jovial spirit is a man deeply committed to his wife, his children, his community, and his passions.

For years, Tom has served as a tireless coach and mentor, shaping young lives through his involvement in Regals Hockey and the Lancaster-Depew Baseball League. His leadership and guidance have left a lasting impact on every player and team he’s worked with.

Tom is also a proud and passionate member of the Buffalo Golf Club. Not only is he an avid golfer, but he has also served on the board of directors in various roles, including Vice President. His dedication to the club is a testament to both his love for the sport and his commitment to community.

When Tom’s health still allowed, he participated in charitable events like Carly’s Club 100 Hole Golf Tournament, raising over $20,000 for a cause close to his heart. That’s who Tom is—always the first to give, always ready to support others.

Beyond coaching and golfing, Tom loves fishing at Como Park Lake and cherishing time with his family. He and his wife Anna have been together for over 30 years, married for 28. They have two wonderful children, Amanda and Thomas, who are the pride and joy of his life.

Unfortunately, Tom’s health has declined significantly, and his medical team has determined that he requires a kidney transplant to survive. He has been unable to work for over a year and was forced to take early retirement after more than 35 years on the job. As you can imagine, the medical costs have become overwhelming—and that’s why we’re asking for your help.

Throughout his life, Tom has always been the one to step up for others. Now it’s our turn to step up for him. Every donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward Tom’s medical expenses, including the transplant procedure, post-surgical care, and lifelong anti-rejection medications.
