Help save Tom - fighting a rare autoimmune disorder

Hi everyone, my name is Melinda, and my sweet cat Tom needs your help.

Tom has been mine and Addison's companion for 5 years. He is the kind of cat who protects those he loves, from sleeping in the bed with my daughter when she was just a little girl and I worked night shifts, to chasing away stray aggressive dogs entering our yard, completely fearless! Tom greets everyone at the door, purrs the moment you look at him, and even sleeps on my chest when I am sad. Recently, I noticed something was off. He started to be very lethargic, stopped eating, stopped drinking, and became very weak. After several vet visits and tests, the vet believes Tom has an autoimmune blood disorder and an autoimmune urinary disorder. In simple terms, his immune system is attacking his own body. To survive, he'll need lifelong medication, monitoring, and regular vet care. Without it, his body will continue to deteriorate.

The costs have already been overwhelming. Between testing, emergency visits, and the ongoing medication that he will have to start today, I am facing $350 now, and $170 per month moving forward to keep him stable. As much as it breaks my heart to ask, I can't do this alone.

Every dollar will go directly toward Tom's vet care, medications, follow-up blood work, urine analysis, and appointments. Even a small donation, or simply sharing this page, can make a huge difference in helping him get the treatment he needs to live a long, happy life. I am just asking for some help to get us off to a solid start for Tom and his treatment plan.
