The Backstory
On Friday, October 9th around 9:40 pm, Tom and three of his close friends were suddenly attacked by a group of teens. Fortunately, his friends only suffered minor wounds, but Tom was stabbed from behind in the neck and his chest multiple times. He suffered from a severed artery, punctured diaphragm and collapsed lung.  Because of the quick actions of his friends, a brave young woman with pink hair, paramedics and medical staff at UC Davis, his life was saved. We are very relieved and grateful to say that he is on the road to recovery.  

Tom is always there for us when we need him. He is loyal, golden-hearted and a genuinely good and kind soul. He laughs easily and loves life. When Tom is around, you feel that positive, easy going energy. The unfortunate events that unfolded the night of October 9th made us all fear a world without him. His positive attitude and upbeat spirit during this crazy time has been a testament to his courage and resilience.

How you can help
Due to his serious injuries and recovery time, Tom will not be able to work for quite some time.  We hope to raise funds to support him during his physical and emotional healing as well as to bring some relief to the financial burden the medical expenses will bring.

We are sincerely thankful for any support you can provide Tom to help him along his road to recovery. And, we know that he would be over the moon appreciative of any help he receives.

A big thank you to Julie Lofgren, Tom’s amazing girl friend who is caring for him at their home. We have asked her to be the beneficiary of these funds while Tom is in recovery. As his primary care giver she will be helping him apply your generous donations to his medical needs.
