Nanna and Papaw are facing a heartbreaking situation that no family should endure. They were misled during their refinance process, which began in December. Initially, they were told the refinance closed in February, but then they were informed it wouldn’t close until March. This delay cost them the two free months they were promised by Independence. To make matters worse, Planet Home made them pay for those supposed free months, and United Wholesales is charging them for escrow, real estate, and property taxes that Planet Home claimed to have covered. The funds they were supposed to receive for home repairs were instead used to pay off the refinance. This has left them in a precarious financial position, and they are at risk of losing their home.
