Help Tom Butcher Battle Pancreatic Cancer
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
My name is Samantha Leclerc and our family received some news a week and half ago that has turned our whole world upside down. Not only did my family have to deal with the pandemic, like many others, but we found out that my dad, Thomas Butcher, had pancreatic cancer. If 2020 wasn't hard enough, my dad was laid off in the beginning of May, like a lot of people across the country. But being unemployed left my father having to pay for his insurance out of pocket. After months and months of searching, my dad had just received a great job offer. Due to his health, my dad had to graciously turn it down. After our research and meeting with multiple doctors, we understand that this process is going to take time and it's already creating a financial burden on my family. This is only the beginning and we are trying to find anyway to make his treatment possible. The important thing is that there is hope! There's hope for my dad to beat this and get to play with his dog, enjoy seeing his grandchildren, go fishing with his son and enjoy wood fires with his wife. There's hope for him to live. If there's anyway possible for you to donate to lessen the financial burden, thank you! Your donations will be going towards paying for his monthly insurance premiums and hotel stays since we are seeking treatment out of state. We have calculated $12,000 as a rough estimate for monthly insurance payments for 6 months and 5 1/2 weeks of hotel stay during radiation. If you are unable to, we completely understand, but we do ask if you could please send this message along to others. We thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers and donations!
