This is a fundraiser for Tom Brunette and his wife Tonie. This picture was taken only 5 weeks ago, and yet today he is near the end. Tom was diagnosed with liver cancer in December. Since that time Tonie has been a tireless caregiver and advocate for her husband and rock of 48 years. They were passed over 5 times for a liver transplant, and this relentless disease has taken such a toll on Tom that he is today going home on hospice. His devoted and loving wife will be there to care for him through this as well. In the mean time, as is so often the case, whatever could go wrong has gone wrong. Tonie is facing repair issues at their home that she is not able to address herself. Between hospital/medical bills and daily trips to University of Illinois, their savings is dwindling. With so little in reserve, end of life costs will be daunting. These high school sweethearts had made a whole life from their early romance. This terrible disease has become a heart breaking turn in their love story. Please help in any way you can.
