Help Tom and MaryErin survive the stroke
This picture is the last healthy and happy anniversary my parents spent together. For nearly 3 years my dad, Tom, has been the primary caretaker for his wife, MaryErin, who is battling multiple myeloma cancer and kidney failure. Last week the roles were reversed when my dad had a stroke. He is hospitalized and we're not sure when he can go home or how long the recovery process will be. The doctors say it could be up to a year for him to even be able to walk again. My dad would give his shirt off of his back to someone in need and he hates to ask for help. He has always provided for his family. He works for himself so there is no PTO, no more savings to fall back on since MaryErin has been sick. The hardest part is that his mind is there but his work is physical so his means to provide for his family has been taken away. He is unsure of how he is going to keep a roof over his wife's head, keep the lights on and afford to proceed with physical therapy to hopefully recover from this. His worry is constant and the bills don't stop so I am hoping to help ease some of his frustration with your help. Any thing you can give would be greatly appreciated. Any funds would go to ensuring he and my stepmom continue to have a home, basic needs, and will assist with medical bills. Thank you so much for visiting our page and please keep our family in your prayers.
