Help Tom and Marissa get back to their home

Hi everyone,

As you know, the remnants of hurricane IDA have hit some communities and families around New Jersey very hard! One of those families from Belleville, NJ is my sister-in-law Marissa and her Police Officer (in Montclair, NJ) husband Tom, seven-year-old Nick, two-month-old Maddie, two puppies, and two cats. Tom puts his life on the line for his community every day, and I would like to show him that we got their back! Please consider helping Tom and Marissa, and help them get back to their home! This disaster hit this family late Wednesday night. Their house started to fill up with water rather quickly; they had enough time to pack up their babies and some belongings, the animals, and had to leave the house quickly because the electrical outlets were submerged in water, and it was no longer safe to be there.

After the storm, they were able to go back to the house to assess the damage, and they found the basement was full of water to the ceiling, the garage and den on the same level also had a significant amount of water, where anything that was in those rooms was lost. Here listed are few things that were lost, which does not include the entire list of things that were lost the freezer, treadmill, power wheels, diapers (she received at a baby shower, so a lot of boxes of diapers), snow blower, power washer dresser and cabinets (that's the garage) Livingroom: bookcases sofa tables toys (insurance isn't paying for structural damage for garage and livingroom - repairs to those are on us)

In the basement, they lost washer and dryer, pans, fryer, toaster oven, iMac computer, printer, thousands of $ of Nicks toys, exercise machines, home videos, collectibles, Nick's school projects and art, pictures of Marissa's deceased parents, and many other things we can't replace or ever get back..
