Hi, my name is Mary Ferreira. I’m raising funds for my nephew Tom DeJesus, Jr., and his fiancée Jennifer Guptill. We appreciate you taking the time to understand their urgent situation and dilemma.

In January 2025, Jen was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She has spent six of the last seven months fighting at Massachusetts General Hospital, undergoing numerous rounds of chemotherapy and advanced drug trials. She remains at MGH and is in her final chemotherapy phase, preparing for a bone marrow and stem cell transplant. With her son William donating his blood to help establish new stem cells in Jen, and God willing, she will survive this. We will continue to pray for her and Tom.

Tom, a self-employed contractor and Jen’s caretaker, has commuted daily from NH to Boston to be by her side. Unfortunately, he has lost months of wages and has exhausted his reserves. Consequently, he is facing sizeable overdue bills with escalating interest payments. We are currently accepting donations of any amount.
