My name is Shea Merriman Tolbert. I'm trying to raise money for me and my daughter, Meri-Kathrine Tolbert. I'm a single mom of 3, ages 5 to 23. I have 2 different types of seizures: epileptic and absence seizures with Todd's paralysis. I do take medicine to treat both, but unfortunately, a few weeks ago, I had an absence seizure that left me unresponsive for 3 days in the hospital. I ended up having to stay 7 days, and of course, I was off work due to this issue. While in the hospital, I found out that there was a glitch in the system when I started my new job, and my insurance never got sent, so I'm currently without insurance to do any of my follow-ups to be able to be released to work to my full capacity.

Also, during that same time, my daughter Meri-Kathrine had the responsibility of watching her younger siblings because she is the oldest at 23. She has had issues in the past with eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. So when she felt her heart racing and her chest hurting, she just assumed it was her anxiety over me being in the hospital and unresponsive, but in reality, she had a heart attack. The doctors found that the lower chamber of her heart was smaller than it should be and possibly out of place. But she only works part-time to help me with bills and to help watch her younger siblings. So she also does not have any insurance to pay for anything. And now she is currently also out of work due to the heart attack and not being able to go back until she has more tests and sees her specialist.

So what I am asking for is money to help pay for our rent for the month of August since we are now behind and help with some of September's since we are not sure when we can go back, to help pay for our utilities so we can keep power and water, and to pay for our medication, doctor appointments for our specialists, and the extensive testing for my daughter. Any help would be greatly appreciated considering they have made appointments for us starting the week of August 11th. Thanks, everyone, in advance for your help.
