Yesterday, on May 30th, 2025, my brother was taking his dog, Toes, along for a Walgreens car ride like they normally would do a few blocks away from home. Toes loves car rides and just being around her mom and dad whenever she can!

However, this ride turned out to be forever life-changing for Toes, my brother, and my sister-in-law. Toes saw another dog walking on the sidewalk and, for some reason, decided to jump out the window of the moving truck—something she has never done before. She ended up tearing every ligament and tendon in her rear leg beyond any saving of her rear leg. Doctors are saying that she has to have the leg amputated or be euthanized, and the surgery is very costly.

My brother Max and sister-in-law Cassidy obviously have decided to choose the amputation route regardless of the cost, but this will be a financial strain that nobody could ever be prepared for or ever think of happening. Toes was already saved from euthanasia once when they decided to adopt her from a rescue shelter, and we are not going to let this get in the way. Toes is the happiest dog who loves her daily walks and cuddles. Any amount donated to Toes or any shares to help Toes get adjusted to 3 legs will be greatly appreciated. All costs will be going towards the surgery that is very much needed.
