A month ago, Todo arrived at Charlie’s Angels after being hit by a car in a remote community.

His owner couldn’t be found.

By the time he reached us, his injuries were already around a week old. The people who found him had done everything they could, but with no veterinary services available in their community, there wasn’t much anyone could do except keep him alive.

When Todo arrived, he was painfully thin, exhausted and covered in old wounds. He looked like he had simply given up and was waiting to die.

We refused to let that be the end of his story.

We brought Todo into Alice Springs where he received his first proper care, regular meals, pain relief and, most importantly, a safe place to rest.

From there, generous supporters helped transport him to Tennant Creek, where the incredible Dr Kelsey Fyffe from Barkly Veterinary Practice operated on both of his badly injured legs, saving everything that could be saved. While Todo was already under anaesthetic, Kelsey also kindly desexed him at no extra cost—one less procedure for Todo to go through in the future.

After surgery, Todo made the journey back to Charlie’s Angels to begin his recovery.

This weekend his cast finally came off, and his stitches were removed last week.

The transformation has been nothing short of amazing.

He’s still a little stiff in his back legs, but his spirit has completely returned. He’s running around with the puppies, playing, wagging his tail and finally getting to enjoy life like every dog deserves.

Unfortunately, saving Todo wasn’t cheap.

His surgeries alone cost $1,000, and that’s before medications, follow-up treatment, food and ongoing rehabilitation.

We’re asking for your help to cover Todo’s veterinary costs so we can continue saying “yes” to dogs like him when they have nowhere else to turn.
