Don't Ignore The Signs That Your Body Gives You

About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis. I didn't even know what that was, so I researched it. I thought to myself, ok, "it's just me getting older, and I'll just deal with it when it comes and goes."

Then, in November of 2023, I was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis. Again, I didn't even know what that was. I ended up getting a full hip replacement on my right side. Fast-foward another year, and I'm feeling like my other hip is failing due to the Avascular Necrosis. And thinking that my next surgery will be another full hip replacement. Little do I know, that I'm having a Diverticulitis flare up. So bad, that I had 6 surgeries within about 10 days. My surgeon was not sure that she was even going to be able to save my life. She opened me up, pulled my intestines aside, and found a bunch of dead, black, perforated intestine. I spent 30 days in ICU trying to recover. Half of that time, I was so sedated, that I didn't know what was up, down, left, or right. I was hallucinating so bad on Propofol (what killed Michael Jackson), Fentanyl, Valium, and Morphine.

I was on all of this, just so they could try to keep me comfortable.

Meanwhile, my beautiful girlfriend is freaking out, all while still trying to hold everything together. Paying bills, taking care of the kids, the 4-legged ones too. Trying to file any kind of paperwork that would be of any assistance financially. Including trying to file with SS/Disability, hoping to get some backpay for my lack of any reportable income over the last 2 years. Fighting with my total hip replacement. I was only able to do a few jobs here and there, and not able to contribute much to the household finances.

Has anyone wondered how many people would should show up at their funeral? Have I lived a good life? Have I been a good person to people? Obviously, the older we get, the less chance of having a big turn-out. Have I made enough of an impact in life to fill a High School Auditorium, or just an old Country Church House?? Well, I almost had the opportunity to find out, as I faced death, face to face.

I'm not looking to get rich from donations. I will be selling my assets, but cars and motorcycles don't just go the same day. I'm just looking to stay current on bills and help Brandy financially, until I'm able to get up and get going again. Bless you all!!.
