My name is Todd, and I’m reaching out because I need help getting through one of the hardest times of my life. Last year, I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had to undergo surgery to remove it on Halloween 2025. I was determined to get back on my feet, and my employer was supportive, offering me a foreman position that matched my experience. Unfortunately, my recovery has been more challenging than expected. I have frequent doctor appointments, and my body just can’t handle being on my feet all day or climbing stairs. I also have a medical bag that needs to be drained regularly, which makes it even harder to keep up with work demands. Despite my best efforts, I was missing work about 80% of the time, and my employer had to bring in someone else to keep things running smoothly. Now, I’m unable to do the work I’ve done for years as a steel stud framer and sheetrock hanger. My wife is working hard, but her income isn’t enough to keep up with our bills. We’ve looked everywhere for help, but there just isn’t any assistance available for our situation. Unemployment isn’t an option, and we’re struggling to pay rent, keep food in the fridge, and cover basic living expenses. I’ve tried to stay positive through everything, but I’m losing hope. That’s why I’m reaching out for help. Any support you can give would mean the world to us and help us get through this difficult time. Thank you for reading my story and considering a donation.
