This isn't a fun thing for me to write, so I guess I'll just jump in and hope for the best.

This hasn't been an easy year for me. I know everyone's always excited at the prospect of a new year, hoping for positive changes, good fortune, you know, the usual. I didn't do that. I've had a rough couple of years, so I figured I'd go into this one not expecting anything, just doing my best and trying to get ahead.

In June, I lost my job. I'd been there for eight years, and I was hoping this unfortunate turn of events would be the jumpstart I needed to get out of my comfort zone and find something better. Long story short, it wasn't, and I didn't. I was about to be homeless, and without being able to make car payments, I wouldn't have even been able to live in my car, which was basically my worst-case scenario.

I talked it over with my best friend, and wound up selling my car and moving from Florida back to Washington, which I'd wanted to do for a decade. I was hoping to jump in hot and get the ball rolling, but it's been tough to find a job, especially without a car . Remote jobs are fewer and farther apart the further we get from the pandemic it seems, and there isn't really too much available within walking distance.

I'm still looking and hoping to find a job, but at this point I kind of desperately need help. I have a storage unit to pay for, my phone bill, not to mention just basic necessities (deodorant and toothpaste do not last forever ) and if I anyone could help even a little bit, I would deeply, deeply appreciate it.
