Help Todd Clinesmith rebuild after wildfires

Donation protected

Like many in the growing steel guitar community, I have been the fortunate recipient of Todd Clinesmith’s amazing craftsmanship.  Todd has inspired many players with his creations and has continued a legacy of instrument making that looks  reverently at the past and boldly to the future.

This past week, Todd and his family were forced to evacuate their home in Idleyld Park, Oregon when the wildfires became a threat to their safety.  Thankfully, everyone is safe and their home is still standing; however, Todd’s workshop did not make it.  It is a total loss, including all the machinery and tools he used in his livelihood.  There are many other items and materials that were lost as well.

Todd is the type of person who is keeping a positive attitude and pushing forward, but at this time he will really need some assistance as he looks for a temporary shop to work in and the necessary machinery, tools and materials to continue operations.  Insurance will help cover some costs but it won’t be nearly enough.

Let’s help Todd Clinesmith in his time of need.  He would never ask you himself, which is why I am here starting this fundraiser.  Any small amount will help.  Maybe consider a deposit on a future instrument build or a tone bar.  That would be an incredibly kind thing to do.
