Help Todd and Angie Save Evie

Hi Everyone!! We are reaching out to friends, family, and our community to help support and rally around our close friends, Todd and Angie Maidy. Some of you are aware that this last Tuesday, 8/27, one of their fur babies named Evie was attacked in their own backyard by a wild coyote. They have lived in the same house for 15 years and have done their best to provide a safe and protective environment to raise their 2 daughters and 2 dogs. Despite having 8-foot fences and an enclosed front yard, this coyote managed to penetrate the backyard where the girls and their friends have spent hours running around and playing. The dogs were just let outside to do their business when, within seconds, they heard a terrible yelp from poor Evie, a cry like they had never heard before. Angie turned around and found herself face to face with a coyote that had viciously attacked their fur baby. This could easily have been one of their daughters. She scared off the coyote and immediately took Evie to the pet hospital, where she was found to have several broken bones and a punctured lung and was in critical condition. The following day, Evie was transported to another veterinary hospital where she underwent a grueling 2+ hour surgery to help repair the lacerations, broken ribs, and lung. She made it through the surgery, but she is not out of the woods yet. As you can imagine, this has been such a devastating blow to this family, emotionally and financially. If you are able to, please help them by sending in any amount that you can to ease this financial burden on this family. They have had to pay over $13,000 for all of these services up front, and it has become too much to handle alone, and Evie still has a long road ahead of her with potential for further surgeries and physical therapy.
