Help Todd with medical bills

Hello, I’m Todd’s step daughter Mercedes and I am organizing a gofund me to support one of the most influential, loving and caring persons in my life. My step dad has been battling diabetes for quite some time now and last week things took a turn for the worse. My step dad has always been a fighter and always cared for the well being of others. He overcame bone cancer at the very early age of 9yrs old and as a result had his right arm amputated. That never slowed him down though. He overcame obstacle after obstacle and is now faced with another only this time it is a little more serious. My step dad was admitted to the emergency room last week with an infection in his foot and now 1 week later he had to have part of his foot and his big toe amputated. My step dad has worked his entire life as a paint and body technician for a local auto repair shop and has never asked for a handout. The Dr’s are now telling him that he has to quit his job of 30+ yrs or else risk losing his foot altogether due to the nature of the job. This means he will now lose his medical insurance and must apply for and await for acceptance of disability benefits. During this time he will still need to pay for living expenses, medical bills and pay for the specialty footwear that he will now be required to wear. My step dad is a very proud person and would never ask for help even though he needs it which is why I am organizing this gofund me today. If you could please donate to help cover some of these medical costs our family would forever be appreciative. My step dad has always given more than he had and would give the shirt off of his back if someone needed it.
