Help Toby’s family cover his health costs

Hi all, this is Anupama (or Anna, to some of you),

If you know anything about our family, you know that asking anything like this is incredibly hard for us.

My family’s goofy, funny, adorable husky Toby has unfortunately had a rapid decline in his health. In 2020, he had the beginnings of what looked like seizures- but the prohibitive cost of MRI scanning ($5000+) prevented us from doing any further investigation. Toby seemed to push himself through it, so we thought things were okay.

However, within the past few weeks Toby has undergone a rapid decline in his health. He is no longer able to walk, and he is evidently in pain. We are not too sure how much longer he has left, and we didn’t think that we’d have to potentially let him go so soon.

The cost of all of our vet visits so far within the past few weeks has come to over $1200. The cost of our April 28th vet and specialty hospital visit will be close to $6000.

As some of you may know, the past 6 months have been extremely difficult for my family- we have experienced two debilitating medical emergencies which resulted in the permanent disability of my parent and close relative, and were incredibly costly to handle. To have another serious medical emergency occur is unbelievably stressful, especially to such a beloved family member.

I know many of you have been able to see Toby’s antics via my social media, and I know that he was loved by so many. Any bit helps, and we are so grateful to see how loved he was by our friends and family.
